Have you a 5/5

Some notes sound slightly off...you may want to have a couple listen throughs to pick out the sour ones.

Btw, I gave you a 5/5 due to the downvote...nobody deserves that unless it is truly crappy...which this is not.

Good though :D,

i know this song isnt very exciting, its just like background music
thanks for the 5

So I never wrote a review? :o

Its hard to listen to such audio as is created by those whos talent derives from the simple pleasures that they take to heart. Those pleasures that they find around them, the things that others take for granted...let me weave you a scene, one of fantasy...and in doing so hope that you see the way I do.

'The birds first give me a feeling of Calmness...as birds should...a feeling of peace. You quickly get into the audio itself, giving it life (let me guess, this song started moving along without you really even having to interfere too much? ^^;). The piano, being the classic instrumental string that it is invokes emotion, especially the way you made it play through...now imagine...'

'You open your eyes and walk out of reality into a dream that only this world could hold. Surrounding you is trees, a forest of livid green, floating in a sea of brown. A squirrel scampers up a nearby tree, a rabbit digs through the brush, you are at peace. In front of is a river, running swift but calm, its blue surface shimmering in the mid-day sun, fish gleam in its depth's. One jumps out of the water in a magnificent arc, you follow it with your eyes and look toward the sky where a eagle soars, its majestic figure slowly circling. Not a cloud to be seen. Across the sparkling river is another bank, as you look you see movement, a girl sitting there playing with a simple White Lily. As you look across the blue expanse she looks back, stands up, smiles billiantly and turns disappearing into the tree behind here. The eagle screeches and as the music fades so does this fantasy, a dream that shall never be forgotten.

Absolutely magnificent, it calms something far deeper than the heart and let nobody tell you that this is not worth the score it has been given. For you created beauty by shaping a simple thing into a work of pure spirit. Hold it high and never let go.

This is the greatest comment ii have recieved since i was introduced to newgrounds , i would like to thank you proudly.
you are such a great friend , these kind words meant so much to me. You are awesome !
thank you. :)

Its official...

My current ability with Pads is nothing compared to what you can concoct. In fact this is so incredibly enthralling that I could see it going on a Video Game, a Flash, or quite personally the old show called Eye Drops that was on the Old TechTv.

Very ambient, so much so that you have me thinking of a comet flying through the heavens, past star after star, planet after planet...o.o, the whole universe is but a play thing for this comet that passes fleetingly on by.

Ok, enough of my deep crap, 9/10 and 5/5...

I could really get into this :O

FatKidWitAJetPak responds:

Wohow!! Thanks a lot, I really appreciate your review. I hope you have some songs, because I am coming to see some of them. =)

Hmm...quite simplistic

First off...wonderful use of the panning effects, mixed with the sweeping pad and possibly the bowed one as well. At 01:07 you throw in what sounds like a warm version of some slow orchestral strings...I can't be sure though. This one has a collective feeling of nostalgic calmness that I quite like.

Perhaps I will make one of much the same feeling here soon, if I have the time.

Good though, and you were talking about doing my own? Check out my Fleeting Times Final(?) piece. I can do my own...I just have to be having a particularly good, creative day to do so. Though I will admit, a friend did help me out a bit on that one :P.

Incredibly calming though o.O...wonder if I can top it ^^;.

FatKidWitAJetPak responds:

Hey, sweet man. I will be sure to check out your song and review it! Glad you liked this BTW. It was one of the first songs I made with pads.

Old style...um...style xD

This is...odd o.O.

Are you going Chinese on me?! OH NOZ...murr .____.

Anyhow! This is a odd piece to review...it has its very nice points...and its not so nice points ><. It jumps too much so I am going to refrain from trying to point them out. I WILL give you this though, it certainly has that nostalgic Chinese 'In the Woods' feel, if you get what I am trying to say.

Its good...yet there is something that is bugging me >.>...

Bah! Better than I can do XD.

lol thanks for the review man.

Review #1

The beginning is slow...but it leads up into some nice stuff :O. The piano is very nice and the background beat that you have is a nice touch if a bit odd.

01:09 you throw in some harder tracks that allow some 'stuff' (stuff? XD) to flow and then there is this...war?/sword/battle/geneocide? (o.O).

Just before the two minute mark it turns into something that is almost trance, almost Techno...and yet it fits >.>;. Not sure what to make of it XD.

All in all this is a really nice piece, a deviation from what you normally do and a obvious effort at challenging yourself.

Quite nice,
-AJ-

wyldfyre1 responds:

stuff eh? LMFAO. Love your wording or lack there of sometimes hahah you sound like me . Funny i didn't mean for it to sound trancey or techno-ish. I do however love how that part of the song sounds. Thanks for the great review as always.

Yet another by one of the Greats

Lets see...

1. You are on my favorite artists list...and in the top ten at that.

2. You are on my list of lists for the audio portal...right by the best of the best.

3. Your music gets stuck in my head...which is generally annoying...yet I still find myself tapping my foot or weaving my head.

Finally I find myself wanting to write lyrics to everything just to see if I can match you XD. Pity my voice would break a piano string >< XP.

Great Job...seriously ^^.

In reponse...
1. Thankyou, firstly. I am so excited that you think of me in the above way - I never want to let the standard drop. :)

2. I like chocolate.

3. I'm sure piano strings are mighty durable... give it a go ;)

Thanks again for the support!!! *HUGS TO YOU

I liked it...

This was done quite well. The intro. melded nicely in with what came after and the electric piano(?) was a decent addition. I can see this piece going farther...but for now I think it is good enough.

Your guitar [solos] is done very well, the areas where the guitar becomes noticable add to the song and make it so that the listener does not get so bored. You might be able to throw in some faster guitar areas to give this song some more "oomph". But right now it is good enough.

Its not GREAT, but its not horrible either. I followed your scoring system and gave you an 8/10, good...but not fantastic (minus the solo guitar area(s)).

Cool though...
-AJ-

wyldfyre1 responds:

haha yeah. May work on it more. Who knows. I'm just taking it easy till i get mused again for the moment.

Well now...this isn't that bad :).

First off, great job on the lyrics...they are surprisingly fantastic. This is like country in the way that it tells a story...but I can see why it is in classical.

But though this is quite good, your 00:27 area brought up something that was more dramatic, which is good, especially with this song. But I was waiting for some drums to kick in. 01:07 perhaps? I don't know how to explain in words how it should sound...but I believe that this piece could be even better.

I dunno =.=.

The voice (your voice :]) sounds quite good...but though it fits with the song to a point, I think that it should be clearer, it kinda sounds like there is a duel going on with another voice. Sounds good though o.o.

Great job, I just hope that it gets longer :D.
-AJ-

hania responds:

hey! I know what you mean about the drums - I originally had chimes and a timp crec roll leading up to the heavier bits - but decided to take them out cause I really just wanted the raw thing to be on here for people to make up their own minds on how it should sound ;)
There are a lot of harmonies in the piece also - I can see how that could get a little cloudy ;)
Thanks for the review!! Keep in touch :)

I fully agree with Wyld below...

It does sound quite good...but it could certainly be better...

Interesting intro. It tends to lead in upon itself which can easily bring this song down some.

00:28 you add in some right hand parts that really ass to the song overall.

Man, this song is really close to hitting the very good mark right upon the head. But like Wyldfyre1 stated...something just feels wrong...but I have no idea what that could be.

Sounds good though,
-AJ-

The ending is kinda abrupt...might wanna fix that ^^;.

Oh, and I made a full piano audio...its called ~Goodbye~, and though someone has said it jumps around a little...well, if you deign to check it out you will see ^^.

Farmin responds:

Thanks :D
yea it's always felt wrong to me, i dunno what it is :(
thanks for the feedback though, always appreciated :D

Ok, so the world does not know my name. But there are those around me that do...and in the end that is all I need...
